Pirates of the Silicon Valley
The movie “Pirates of the Silicon Valley” is a great movie which showed the beginning of the Revolution of computers and it also shows the events how the Microsoft and Apple began their rivalry. It shows how hard Steve Jobs and Bill Gates worked to become successful.
The movie also showed the power of technology that some people just don’t know about its power. Like the mouse invented by Xerox and the IBM executives just laughed about it if they only knew the power of the mouse does. As Steve Jobs said, “Information is Power”.
The movie was very educational. Many events in the movie are vital for the revolution of computers like the “mouse” and GUI made by Xerox, the invention of Operating System and many more. There were famous companies that contributed to the revolution of computers are IBM, Xerox, Apple and Microsoft.
The life of Jobs and Gates are inspiring because they both started from nothing but then, they were something they became rich and famous. When Jobs was on the top and overwhelmed with success, he became abusive, arrogant, selfish and greedy. But Gates did not loose hope even though Apple was successful in launching its products. Gates put much more effort, time money on his works. But Gates did not end empty handed at the end.
